It occurred to
me that it might be of some benefit to all of my customers if I were to
auction or sell off all of my inventory and start over with a zero book
inventory. If I did this, I could tell you about the books I find, where
I find them, and how much I pay for them as I rebuild my inventory.
I have also considered selling my inventory in lots of 50 books to the
customers that have purchased my book, "Online Bookselling" as a way to
help build their own inventory.
If you have thoughts about me doing this, please
email me and let me know. I am sure that starting over and going
through the process will help me to relate to the issues many of you have
questions about, and not having an inventory of 3,000 books to maintain
and deal with would give me more time to post blogs and devote to the
newsletter. At the same time, I am not real keen to sell off my inventory
at clearance prices if many of you do not think my starting over and
discussing the process will be of help to you.
